Exporting Publications from TUMFIS to ORCID

The research information system TUMFIS enables TUM researchers to export publications to ORCID. Once set up, publicly visible publication records from the TUMFIS profile are automatically synchronized with the researcher’s ORCID iD on a regular basis.

Overview of Research Devices

New TUMFIS Data Area: Equipment

The research information system TUMFIS now includes a new feature called “Equipment”. This data area allows the systematic recording of research devices and other infrastructures, such as microscopes, particle accelerators, or genomics platforms, along with details on availability and access.

Open Access

Publish & Read Agreements Extended for 2026

Researchers at TUM can continue to benefit from numerous open access agreements with publishers in the coming year. The Publish & Read contracts with Elsevier, Springer Nature, Wiley, IEEE, the American Chemical Society (ACS), the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), and Oxford University Press (OUP) have been extended through 2026. Funding is provided jointly by the TUM Executive Board, the University Library, as well as TUM’s research institutes and schools.
