Features

EndNote is an internationally widely used reference management program that offers several features that enable you to search literature, manage references, and cite correctly in the desired style. EndNote has an English-language interface and runs on both Windows and macOS. The locally installed EndNote program is complemented by a web version, which enables location-independent work and collaboration.

In addition to the local installation, the reference management program offers a web version. Set up your own EndNote web account, therefore.

Tips & Tricks

You can further customize your own EndNote installation to meet your needs:

Find Full Texts

Two variants of full‑text search can be integrated into EndNote:

  • General full-text search: After installation, add the OpenURL path http://sfx.bib-bvb.de/sfx_tum under “Edit” → “Preferences” → “Find Full Text”.
  • Search for full texts licensed by TUM: After installation, add the OpenURL path https://tum-eaccess.de/login under “Edit” → “Preferences” → “Find Full Text” → „Authenticate with:“.
  • If you now choose “Find full text,” you will go to the eAccess page of TUM, where you log in with your TUM ID. Please note that you might not find all available full texts, and that the search will take noticeably longer.
