Login & Logout

Before you start your search for e-media, authenticate yourself as a TUM member via eAccess – whether in the TUM OPAC, via DBIS or on the Internet.

  1. Open eAccess in your browser at https://tum-eaccess.de.
  2. Log in with your TUM account via Shibboleth (TUM's Web Login Service).
  3. Then select the appropriate search portal, e.g., TUM OPAC for e-books or EZB for e-journals.

Login via Bookmarklet

A bookmarklet is a special browser bookmark that runs small functions directly in the browser. With our eAccess bookmarklet, you can authenticate retroactively for licensed TUM e-media even if you initially encounter a paywall. It enables authentication by reloading the URL via eAccess.

So funktioniert es:

  1. Save the bookmarklet: Save the link javascript:void(location.href='https://tum-eaccess.de/login?url='+location.href as a favorite or in your browser’s bookmarks bar.
  2. When you open the URL of a licensed resource, click the bookmarklet.
  3. The page will reload and redirect you to the eAccess login. Sign in with your TUM ID.
  4. You will then be automatically redirected back to the original URL and gain access to the content without a paywall.

Tip: The bookmarklet does not work with some providers, e.g. Thieme eBooks or Web of Science. In these cases, please log in to eAccess first before accessing such databases and platforms. Alternatively, you can put in the URL bar https://tum-eaccess.de/login?url= in front of the resource URL in order to reload via eAccess.
