TUM LAN | Proxy

Many of our licensed e-media resources are access-restricted and available only behind publishers' and database providers' paywalls. To access these resources free of charge, you must authenticate yourself as an authorized user. Depending on the provider, various authentication mechanisms are available. One option is access within the TUM network (TUM-LAN) with the appropriate proxy configuration in your browser.

E-Media Access via Proxy Configuration

Requirements:

  • Computer with a static IP address within the TUM-LAN
  • Not suitable for use via WLAN

Browser Configuration:
You need to configure your browser or operating system to use the PAC Script URL. This script routes your requests through our proxy server, enabling IP address verification. If your IP address belongs to the TUM range, you will automatically be redirected to the provider’s server and granted access to licensed content.
