University Bibliography
Scope of the University Bibliography
The TUM University Bibliography includes all scholarly publications that meet the following criteria:
- Publication Types:
- Monographs and book contributions
- Dissertations and other academic theses
- Scholarly papers and journal articles
- Conference papers and conference proceedings
- Research reports
- Publication Format:
The publication may be available in print and/or electronic form. - Affiliation:
The corresponding author or at least one of the contributors is a TUM member. The publication date may be after the end of employment at TUM. - Research Context:
The publication is related to academic research conducted at TUM. - Proof of Publication:
The publication has been officially released. Preprints or grey literature are not included.
Entering Publications
- Log in to mediaTUM with your activated TUM ID: https://mediatum.ub.tum.de/login
- Switch to editing mode.
- Import records or enter them manually.
Dissertations are automatically listed in the University Bibliography through the publication workflow for doctoral theses. No additional entry is required.
Activating Your TUM ID
If you need to enter publications for your chair or institution, your TUM ID must be activated once for the editing section of the University Bibliography.

The University Bibliography is freely accessible via mediaTUM starting from the publication year 2008. No login is required for searching.
