The research information system TUMFIS enables TUM researchers to export publications to ORCID. Once set up, publicly visible publication records from the TUMFIS profile are automatically synchronized with the researcher’s ORCID iD on a regular basis.
The research information system TUMFIS now includes a new feature called “Equipment”. This data area allows the systematic recording of research devices and other infrastructures, such as microscopes, particle accelerators, or genomics platforms, along with details on availability and access.
Starting in 2026, our training program will include a course on TUM DataTagger, our collaborative data management tool: "TUM DataTagger Essentials – Manage and Share Research Data".
TUM has been recognized by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, as a recognized research entity. This designation enables TUM researchers to submit a request for access authorization to confidential microdata for scientific purposes.
TUM eLabFTW is now available as a modern and intuitive electronic lab notebook (ELN) for research documentation at TUM. It offers numerous features to support efficient collaboration among researchers – both within teams and with external partners.
