Branch Library Mathematics & Informatics – More Space for Learning

More space, more possibilities: The first floor of the Branch Library Mathematics & Informatics now offers additional study spaces, group rooms, and – new this semester – Webinar Carrels. Whether you’re working quietly on your own, collaborating in a group, or joining a webinar – there’s a suitable space for every learning situation.

With this summer semester 2025 in the first floor of the Branch Library Mathematics & Informatics, we offer additional study spaces, group rooms, and – new – Webinar Carrels. The entire area has been fully renovated and newly equipped. It is now accessible through the library, and most rooms can be reserved online.

Webinar Carrels – Speak freely
Online lectures, video conference presentations, or remote job interviews? Need to actively participate in a webinar while studying in the library – and actually be able to speak out loud? Our twelve soundproofed Webinar Carrels provide the perfect setting. TUM students can reserve them starting 15 April 2025.

Group Study Rooms – Teamwork in Action
Looking for a space to brainstorm, present, or study as a team? Our group study rooms for three or more people can be easily booked online. They're are available in seven branch libraries – including two new rooms in the freshly renovated study area on the first floor of the Branch Library Mathematics & Informatics.

Prefer to work in silence? Two newly renovated reading rooms on the first floor of the Branch Library Mathematics & Informatics provide a calm, focused environment for individual study – no reservation needed.
